This is the first Black Country derby since February 12 2012, when Peter Odemwingie scored a hat-trick as West Brom beat Wolves 5-1 at Molineux.

Wolves have endured some difficulties at times this season, but a victory today would, temporarily at least, see them move up to 11th.

Nuno Espirito Santo will hope that this will be the game that will help to kick-start his side’s season.

Sam Allardyce has spoken publicly about West Brom’s need for new signings, and they have already brought in Snodgrass as well as goalkeeper Andy Lonergan.

However, it is clear that Allardyce faces a tough task in attempting to keep the Baggies up – they are 19th in the table having taken just eight points so far.

Both teams are in desperate need of a win.

Wolves haven’t won in five league games, while West Brom have failed to take all three points in their last seven league matches.

Wolves have been given a boost ahead of this game, with Adama Traore available following a hamstring problem. Willy Boly is back fit.

Robert Snodgrass makes his debut for West Brom following his switch from West Ham.

In addition, Romaine Sawyers, Callum Robinson, Dara O’Shea and Matheus Pereira are also involved.
