Willian called ‘prime Ronaldinho’ after stunning Fulham strike against Forest

Willian rolled back the years to be compared to a prime Ronaldinho for his stunning opening goal in Fulham's Premier League win over Nottingham Forest.

The 34-year-old former Chelsea and Arsenal winger signed a deal to return to London after impressing Marco Silva in training and has hit the ground running.

Scoring his third goal of the season against Forest on Saturday afternoon, Willian executed a perfect shot dummy to beat his man before curling an inch-perfect strike into the top corner on his weaker foot.

Another fourth wrote: "Willian is better than all current Chelsea wingers." A fifth concluded: "Another goal of the month contender. Willian is at his very best again."

Speaking of the forward's strike after the game, Silva said: "I'm demanding more from Willian – he needs to score, not just assist. The finish is top – he’s a top-class player."

Speaking to the Standard earlier this month, Willian said: "To me, London is everything. Me and my family love being Londoners, we are happy to be back and living in London. It is one of the best cities in the world.

"I’ve not yet had a conversation about staying one more year or whether to sign a new contract but I really enjoy my moment here. I enjoy being here, I feel happy and let’s see at the end of the season."
