The pacey forward enjoyed another successful season in Spain, and has previously attracted interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Danjuma would offer variety for David Moyes’ side, and he also has the added bonus of Premier League experience, having previously played for Bournemouth.

He scored 17 goals last season, and dazzled in the Champions League.

Having also picked up four assists across all competitions, the winger has been eyed up by a number of elite clubs. He confirmed that Anfield figures were keen on him.

Danjuma has previously attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool

Danjuma previously told Dutch broadcaster Ziggo Sport: ‘I was informed that Liverpool were following me closely.

‘I have never had contacts with clubs or anything like that during the season – I always know about the situation after the season.

‘I will never lie and I think it’s a bad quality if you are not ambitious.

‘If a club came along that offered me a higher platform to play on sport-wise, I would always have to consider it.’

David Moyes has been keen to sign six players this summer, with Danjuma on his shortlist

Moyes wants around six players this summer, having already signed defender Nayef Aguerd and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, following the latter’s successful loan spell.

West Ham have spoken to Chelsea about striker Armando Broja, meanwhile, while an offer has been tabled for Jesse Lingard, a free agent after his Manchester United exit.

They are keen for cover at full back and a midfielder, with Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse wanted. The finances are expected to be beyond them, however.
