West Ham fan Russell Brand urges Declan Rice to be Mark Noble’s apprentice
West Ham superfan Russell Brand has suggested that Mark Noble should take Declan Rice under his wing and 'mentor' the midfielder.
The comedian also suggested that Rice could become a legend at the Hammers if he stays instead of leaving.
Manchester United have been interested in bringing the Englishman to Old Trafford, and their city rivals Manchester City have also registered interest.
While Chelsea have also been keeping tabs on Rice, after releasing him from their academy when he was 14-years-old.
And Brand has urged Rice to stay at the London Stadium to become a West Ham legend instead of having his head turned.
"Don’t go, Declan. Stay, be the Trevor Brooking of our time," Brand, told talkSPORT.
"Don’t go down the route of everyone else, stay with the heart, become a legend. We know Chelsea was your first love – and it’s obvious they’re going to come calling again.
"But we love you more. You can be everything to us. You’ve done your tutelage at the feet of Mark Noble, be his apprentice.
"Be everything. Be [Alan] Devonshire, [Frank] McAvennie, [Paulo] Di Canio, all rolled into one! Stay Declan, we love you!"

David Moyes has already rebuffed approaches for Rice, and he has insisted that he would be worth north of £100million.
And Moyes has previously stated: "He’s a really important player for West Ham, he’s someone who we value greatly and you can see what he means to the team.
"He’s a really good individual and we’re enjoying having him."
