Everton and West Ham have formally registered their interest in Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel, planning to reshape his attacking options this summer having let Romelu Lukaku (above) rejoin Inter Milan on loan, wants to assess the striker in pre-season first

Everton have a vacancy in their attack following the £60m departure of Richarlison to Tottenham last week and Broja is West Ham’s leading target to take some of the goal-scoring burden off Michail Antonio.

Though any decision on the 20-year-old is unlikely to be quick, with Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel wanting to assess him in pre-season first before making a decision on his future.

Broja is due to return to Chelsea later this week following his summer break ahead of Tuchel and his squad flying out for their tour of America on Saturday.

And whether Tuchel considers the youngster ready to feature regularly for Chelsea yet, after his senior loan spells at Southampton and Vitesse Arnhem before that, remains to be seen.

Tuchel and Chelsea are planning to reshape their attacking options this summer having let Romelu Lukaku rejoin Inter Milan on loan.

Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling is one of their top targets and a deal has also been agreed with Leeds for winger Raphinha, though his preference is a move to Barcelona.

Hakim Ziyech is wanted by AC Milan while the futures of Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic are uncertain.

Both have been mentioned as exchange options in Chelsea’s talks with Juventus over a deal for centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, with the Italians interested in both players – though Pulisic wants to stay and fight for his place.
