Burnley have been considering a move for Coventry’s Viktor Gyokeres, but Diallo is seen as an alternative option.

West Ham, meanwhile, are eager for more depth in attack – they only mustered 42 goals in the Premier League this season.

Gianluca Scamacca has struggled for both form and fitness since signing from Sassuolo last year.

Burnley could also sign Manchester City left-back Sergio Gomez if Raphael Guerreiro heads to the Etihad Stadium. Guerreiro is set to become a free agent when his Borussia Dortmund contract expires at the end of the month.
