Victor Osimhen is spotted in Berlin amid Bayern Munich links… despite Napoli’s owner claiming there is ‘NO WAY’ the club will let go of their Scudetto-winning striker this summer
- Serie A star man has been linked to other clubs including United and Chelsea
- The Nigerian striker broke George Weah’s 23-year record in blistering season
- But Napoli are keen to hold onto players that helped them win historic Scudetto
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been spotted in Germany amidst links to Bayern Munich.
The Scudetto winner was snapped outside the famous Adlon Kempinski hotel in Berlin after checking out of the five-star establishment with his girlfriend Stephanie Ladewig and their one-year-old daughter Hailey True.
The sighting of the 24-year-old – who will not see playing action until Sunday when the Serie A champions face Bologna in their penultimate match of the season – is likely to raise eyebrows in Naples and pulses in Bavaria after prolonged interest in the player from the Bundesliga giants.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are one of a number of clubs keen to secure the services of Osimhen next season, with Manchester United also closely tracking the striker should they fail in the pursuit of their No 1 attacking target Harry Kane.
Osimhen inked his name in the record books when he overtook AC Milan legend George Weah to become Serie A’s highest-scoring African player in history, and his dazzling 2022/23 campaign saw him beat Samuel Eto’o’s record for most goals scored by an African player in a single season.

The Scudetto winner has attracted interest from across Europe after a white-hot season
But Napoli are reluctant to let go of their talismanic striker with Champions League football to come next season.
The club’s owner Aurelio De Laurentiis was adamant that the champions would hang on to their player, inisiting that there was ‘no way’ that Napoli would look to cash in on their star man so quickly.
De Laurentiis will have a difficult time holding on to all of his players, however, with United also eyeing a move for defender Kim Min-jae.
Talks between the two parties are said to be progressing at pace, with United identifying a suitable house for the centre-back when he makes the move to Manchester.

There could yet be other reasons why Osimhen made the trip north to the German capital.
As per BILD, Ladewig is German-Cameroonian and was raised in Wolfsburg, where Osimhen played for two years before his move to Serie A.
Ladewig is said to be urging a return to the Bundesliga, in part in order to ensure their daughter can grow up close to her mother’s family.
Osimhen has two years left on his contract at Napoli and it is believed that he could command a fee as high as £130million to prise him away from Campania.
