Valencia have made a fresh move to prise Facundo Pellistri from Manchester United on loan.

Pellistri arrived at Old Trafford in October 2020, but only made his Red Devils debut earlier this month in the Carabao Cup against Charlton.

The 21-year-old impressed in his cameo appearance, setting up a late goal for Marcus Rashford.

Valencia want to sign Man United winger Facundo Pellistri on loan until the end of the season

Erik ten Hag is reluctant to allow Pellistri to leave, and also wants Anthony Elanga to stay

Pellistri has had two separate loan spells at Spanish club Alaves in recent years, but United boss Erik ten Hag is reluctant to allow any players to go this month despite Pellistri and team-mate Anthony Elanga pushing to leave for more game time.

Elanga has been linked with a temporary switch to Borussia Dortmund, but this move is now unlikely to go through.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is another player that has attracted interest, and he remains a target for former club Crystal Palace but his form has seen him regain a first team place.

After failing to start any of United’s league games prior to the World Cup, Wan-Bissaka has started each of the team’s last five top-flight matches and looks set to stay.

United have decided against pursuing a deal for Borussia Dortmund playmaker Marco Reus

United, meanwhile, have ruled out a move for Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus despite his agents being at Old Trafford last weekend.

Reus is out of contract in the summer, and his representatives reportedly had a secret meeting with Ten Hag after the Manchester derby.

The Premier League giants have now decided not to pursue a deal for the 33-year-old who earns more than £200,000-per-week at his current club.
