Manchester United stars were left in the dark over the club's decision to appoint Ralf Rangnick as their interim boss.
United are expected to confirm Rangnick as their next manager over the weekend, after agreeing in principle a six-month deal with him.
Rangnick, who has been working as Locomotive Moscow's sporting director on a £3.8m-a-year deal, is expected to double his wages at Old Trafford and will not cost United anything in compensation.
But a host of United players were less than impressed the club didn't bother to let them know what was going on before news about Rangnick had leaked out in the media.
It is understood there was no message relaid to the squad beforehand, either in person or via the players' shared WhatsApp group, despite the club's choice of Rangnick being all over social media.
United bosses were keen to keep the development under wraps, but the players think it would have been courteous of the club to have let them know who their new manager was going to be, given the fact he will start coaching them at some stage next week.
The German will take charge of United until the end of the season, before moving upstairs to take on a more senior role at Old Trafford that will see him work above a full-time manager to be named next summer.

Rangnick's arrival in Manchester has been delayed due to issues regarding his Visa and work permit caused by Brexit.
The 63-year-old had been hoping to attend United's crunch showdown at Chelsea on Sunday, but he will not be at Stamford Bridge.
It remains unclear if Rangnick will even be in charge of the team in time for next Thursday's home game with Arsenal.
