Twitch streamer wins £1.3m after huge World Cup bet – which included Saudi’s win
A Twitch streamer has bagged £1.3million after an audacious World Cup bet – which included Saudi Arabia's win over Argentina.
Trainwreckstv – who is one of the top earners on the popular streaming site – correctly predicted the outcome of four games at the 2022 World Cup. The most outlandish of those being Saudi Arabia's shock win over Argentina.
He also had draws for Denmark Tunisia and Mexico Poland, while he correctly predicted France's win over Australia. The streamer had placed just over £25,000 on the bet – and had asked fans if he should cash out when France went 2-1 up against Australia.

Trainwreckstv might have thought he had thrown his money away as Argentina dominated the Saudis for the opening 45 minutes – going into half-time 1-0 up.
However, Argentina were left shell-shocked when a quick-fire double before the hour mark saw Saudi Arabia turn the game on its head. And after a resolute performance for the final 30 minutes – literally throwing bodies on the line – the Saudis claimed all three points.
Amazingly, Australia could have proved the party poopers, but France were able to survive an early scare.

Trainwreckstv earned fame, and fortune, as a slots streamer on Twitch, but gambling was restricted on the platform earlier this year.
He slammed Twitch for the ban, as he claimed the blame should fall on those who promote a ‘false reality’ and not gambling itself – as he posts the highs and lows on his streams.
