Transfer news LIVE as Man Utd open £64m talks and Liverpool prepare new bid

Man City fans celebrate in Manchester after Champions League final win

Premier League clubs are already beginning to announce new signings as we gear up to a busy summer transfer window. The likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are all desperate to improve their squads in order to mount a stronger challenge for trophies next season.

Several transfers have already been announced. Liverpool’s £35m capture of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton stands out as the biggest Premier League deal so far.

That fee might be dwarfed by some of the moves that take place over the coming weeks. Man Utd are hoping to finalise agreements for £70m-rated target Mason Mount, while Harry Kane remains on their radar.

The future of fellow England star Declan Rice could be resolved soon. After West Ham all but confirmed their captain’s imminent departure last week, Arsenal have been stepping up their chase for one of Europe’s most sought-after talents.

Man Utd step up £64m talks

Man Utd are reportedly trying to drive down Diogo Costa’s £64m price tag.

A Bola claim that the Porto goalkeeper is the Red Devils’ No 1 target to replace David De Gea.

However, United feel that the Portugal star is worth less than his current valuation, which would swallow a large chunk of their budget.

They are supposedly trying to drive down the player’s price tag.
