Transfer news LIVE as Man Utd make ‘£55m swoop’ and Arsenal face competition

Erik ten Hag's Man Utd summer to-do list

The opening of the summer transfer window is just around the corner and clubs from across the Premier League and European football have started to switch their attention to business dealings with the end of the season nigh. Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are among the teams likely to be busy as they look to strengthen their squads.

The rumour mill is already in full swing and United have as ever been one of the names on people’s lips. The Red Devils have been most recently linked with Chelsea star Mason Mount with a £55million bid being reported.

There are also likely to be a number of incoming at the Emirates as Mikel Arteta looks to make that final step by winning the Premier League title. Haydon Hackney and Edmund Tapsoba have been among the names linked but Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham are among their potential challengers for the duo.

After their disastrous season, Chelsea are likely to spend big to try and solve their issues. Moises Caicedo has been linked with a move to the club and Blues chief Joe Shields made contact with the Ecuadorian after Brighton’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City yesterday, praising him on a live stream.

We will have all the latest updates for you here on Express Sport. You can follow below…

Arsenal eye Hackney and Tapsoba

Arsenal have reportedly monitored Middlesbrough starlet Hayden Hackney and Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba ahead of the transfer window.

Hackney was a crucial component of Michael Carrick’s side as they made it into the Championship play-offs this season and 90min have claimed that the Gunners have joined Newcastle and Liverpool in monitoring his progress.

Tapsoba could also be under consideration too. Fabrizio Romano reports that both Arsenal and Tottenham have scouted him but may be forced into paying a huge transfer fee for his signature.

Both players will be ones to watch closely in the coming months.

Manchester United to offer £55m for Mount

Manchester United will offer Chelsea £55million for Mason Mount according to the Daily Mail.

The England international is out of contract at the end of next season and is yet to sign a new deal so could be on the move with the Red Devils now appearing to be the frontrunners.

Liverpool and Arsenal have also been linked with the 24-year-old who has been one of Chelsea’s better players in recent years.
