Transfer news LIVE as Chelsea eye Onana and Man Utd want Barca flop

Ten Hag previews Man Utd's Premier League match against Aston Villa

Transfer talk is ramping up with just under a month of the Premier League season left as England’s elite clubs look to get a headstart this summer. And Chelsea don’t appear to be slowing down in the market as they eye a potential deal for Andre Onana.

The Blues have two players that Inter Milan would reportedly be willing to accept as part of a swap deal for the shot-stopper as they eye long-term replacements for Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy. Trevoh Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are being monitored by the Serie A side.

Meanwhile, Man Utd are reportedly eyeing a surprising move for Barcelona flop Jean-Clair Tobido from Nice after enjoying an impressive turnaround in France. The defender played just five times for the Nou Camp outfit during his two-year stint in Spain.

Below, Express Sport will keep you up to date with all the latest transfer news. It’s set to be a busy month or so before the window officially opens…

Chelsea eye Onana

Chelsea are reportedly lining up a move for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport claims a meeting was held between Chelsea and Inter chiefs in Milan on Wednesday as Todd Boehly looks to improve his goalkeeper options.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has performed admirably at times this season but there remain doubts over his long-term suitability while Eduoard Mendy appears to be out of favour. As a result, an alternative to the duo could be sought.
