Mark Wright's time at Crawley Town has come to an end following a six-month period in which he realised his dream of playing professional football alongside brother Josh.
The former The Only Way Is Essex reality star joined John Yems' side back in December, making his debut in the 3-0 FA Cup victory over Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United back in January.
His second appearance, and only start for the club came against Harrowgate the following month, with Crawley going on to finish 12th in League Two with 16 wins from 46 defeats.
Wright, 34, had spent time with West Ham, Arsenal and Tottenham as a young prospect, featuring for Southend, Crawley, Rushden & Diamonds and Bishop's Stortford a decade before his return to the field.
As one of six players to have been released, Crawley paid tribute to the efforts of Wright. They wrote: "Mark joined the Reds in December 2020, having undergone a successful trial period with the club.
"Since joining, Wright featured on two occasions for Crawley, the first coming in the Emirates FA Cup against Leeds United and the other in League action against Harrogate Town."
Before adding: "The club would like to extend their thanks to the six players that are departing this summer. Their efforts for the club have been faultless, and we wish them well for the future."
Wright told talkSPORT said of his debut back in January: "It was an incredible night. I mean I only got on for a few minutes which is still an achievement for me.
"The fact that I have been able to be involved in the squad and make an appearance at all, and especially to do it with my brother Josh who made his debut for the club yesterday as well.
"To have him there was just a special moment for me and the whole family.
"But more importantly taking the fact that I got on for a few minutes away it was just being part of the squad and the team that I have been training with for the past three months, and the team that I signed for, just to smash Leeds 3-0 like that.

"And just to be there celebrating after and to be on the side and watching my team go through this momentous moment. It was just amazing from start to finish.
"Being there against Leeds, being there with my brother, making my debut, being on the bench, everything together and getting the 3-0 win. The boys were absolutely sensational yesterday.
"There was no FA Cup luck, there was no last minute situation or penalties. Our boys were just incredible from start to finish. Once you're sat there, no the result didn't surprise me, it could have been more."
