Tottenham transfer target Ansu Fati has already snubbed Ange Postecoglou
Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou said he has never been a fan of VAR after their 2-1 win over Liverpool
Tottenham will likely line up to sign Ansu Fati next summer despite reportedly being snubbed by the on-loan Brighton star earlier this year. Fati could be available come the end of the season, with Barcelona reportedly hoping to end his time at the club.
Reports in Spain suggest that Barca are keen for Fati to kickstart his career elsewhere. He was sent on loan to Premier League outfit Brighton in August.
Fati has struggled with injury problems over the last few seasons, unable to build on the momentum of breaking through as an exciting 16-year-old. The Spain international, now 20, has already made his mark at Brighton by scoring in their 6-1 defeat by Aston Villa.
Europe’s biggest clubs will likely line up to sign the speedy winger next year. But Spurs may face trouble completing a potential deal given their struggle this summer.

According to the BBC, Fati was close to joining the North Londoners ahead of the transfer deadline and even held discussions with Ange Postecoglou. However, it was a chat with Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi that ultimately changed his mind.
Brighton completed the coup in a shock deal in the final week of the summer window, much to the jealousy of some of their Premier League rivals. Spanish publication Sport claim that Barca are now prepared to sanction a permanent exit for the La Masia graduate in 2024.
Fati is believed to have a release clause valued at a whopping £860million (€1billion). However, there is no chance that Barca will receive anything close to that figure given that they are set to make the player surplus to requirements.

Spurs were desperate to sign a winger in the closing stages of the transfer window and spoke with Fati about a potential loan move. However, they were beaten to his signature by Brighton and eventually completed a deadline-day move for Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest.
Johnson is set to miss at least the next few weeks with a hamstring injury, though. The 22-year-old limped off against Arsenal late in the North London Derby stalemate last month and has not been called up by Wales for the international fixtures.
But the Evening Standard reports that Johnson is targeting a return for Spurs’ October 23 clash with Fulham. Meanwhile, fellow wide man Manor Solomon could miss the next few months with a knee injury.
