Gareth Bale has confirmed that he already knows what club he’ll be playing for next season, but won’t make an announcement until after the European Championships. Bale was on top form again for Spurs on the final game of the season, scoring twice to help Tottenham secure a spot in next year’s Europa Conference League.

Bale returned to north London last summer to plenty of fanfare and excitement among supporters.

His career had curtailed at Real Madrid having fallen out of favour under Zinedine Zidane.

Injuries had also taken their toll on Bale and affected his start to life back at Tottenham.

Jose Mourinho was tentative to give Bale too many minutes early in the season and he featured in just four league games before the turn of the year.

He began to play a bigger role in the second half of the season though and showed signs of his former form in the 4-0 win over Burnley back in February.

Bale also scored his first Premier League hat-trick since 2012 against Sheffield United.

He was dropped to the bench for Tottenham’s final game of the season against Leicester, with Spurs needing to win to secure European football for next year.

And it proved to be a back-and-forth game with Leicester twice taking the lead through Jamie Vardy from the spot.

Bale’s introduction though sparked an incredible comeback from Tottenham as he scored twice to seal seventh place.

Attention now turns to what he plans to do next season with his loan deal at Tottenham ending.

And the Wales international has admitted that he has already decided on what he plans to do, but won’t make an announcement until after the European Championships.

“It will have to happen after the Euros,” he said.

“I know what I’m doing but it’ll just cause chaos if I say anything.”
