Tottenham put Arsenal and Man Utd to shame with ticket price decision
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has put fellow rivals Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool to shame by freezing season-ticket prices for the 2023/24 season amid the cost of living crisis. Spurs have confirmed to their supporters that they’re swerving another hike following extensive consultation with the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust.
A club statement read: “Due to global economic events, we, like all other sectors, are not immune to rising costs and disruption to supply chains, along with higher energy prices.
“We are, however, acutely aware that everyone is also currently impacted by the rising cost of living.
“With this in mind and following consultation with the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust, we can confirm that Season Ticket prices for the 2023/24 season will be frozen.”
The statement comes just a matter of weeks after north London rivals Arsenal announced a five per cent increase in season ticket prices for next season – despite reducing the number of games in a season from 26 to 22.

The changes mean Gunners supporters will get 19 Premier League fixtures plus three European group-stage matches as opposed to five European games and two home FA Cup fixtures.
In late February, Manchester United also increased adult season ticket prices by five per cent after keeping them frozen for 11 consecutive seasons.
United claim the rise is due to the higher cost of staging matches which reportedly jumped by 40 per cent in the past five years and 11 per cent in the past 12 months.
The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust (CST) is hoping the Blues will follow suit after recently urging Todd Boehly to swerve price changes from next season in an open letter to the board.

“We hope that supporters will be put front and centre of our incredible football club.
“The CST opposes all increases to ticket prices at Stamford Bridge,” the CST said at the start of March.
“With the cost of living crisis, the UK is currently facing one of the most difficult periods in recent history.
“The CST will firmly and unequivocally reject any attempt by the club to increase season ticket or individual match ticket prices.
“Raising ticket prices and the fall in real disposable income for everyone has the capability of adversely impacting many and we are deeply concerned that this will have disastrous long-term effects.
“The Trust will not accept any such rises and requests further dialogue with the club over the issue of pricing to provide sustainable and practical solutions going forward.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool announced they’re increasing ticket prices by two per cent for the 2023/24 season at an additional cost of £17.
The Reds are also rolling out a £1 increase per game for members that are purchasing match-day tickets.
