Tottenham are eyeing up Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher for a summer transfer, according to reports.

Reds No 2 Kelleher has only made 20 appearances in all competitions, including just four in the Premier League, for the club in his five years at Anfield.

The 24-year-old is under contract until 2026 but it is thought that Liverpool would be willing to sell up if they receive their asking price of around £20million.

Spurs are looking to replace veteran goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, 36, who has made several mistakes this season, and reportedly want Kelleher to replace him between the sticks, with Fraser Forster retained as backup.

And according to the Irish Independent, the north London side are set to rival Brighton and Hove Albion and Brentford for the Irishman’s signature.

Kelleher, 24, is believed to want to leave Anfield in search of more regular first-team football

The Cork-born star is believed to want regular first-team football to increase his chances of playing internationally.

Bournemouth’s Mark Travers and Southampton’s Gavin Bazunu are both currently backups, meaning Kelleher getting more game time could see him rise up the pecking order.

On Sunday, it was reported that the Bees are also targeting 10-cap international Kelleher as a replacement for incumbent David Raya.

Raya is tipped for a summer departure from Brentford amid interest from Manchester United and other Premier League clubs following a string of impressive performances throughout the season.

Should he be lured away then Brentford boss Thomas Frank will be left needing a new first-choice shot-stopper, with the Liverpool goalkeeper apparently top pick.

Brentford should have funds to spend on new talent after supposedly slapping a £35million asking price on Raya that isn’t expected to put off Man United.

The Red Devils are currently negotiating a new deal with David de Gea but could dip into the market for another goalkeeper as Erik ten Hag looks to build a new-look side.

While at Brighton, Jason Steele has recently replaced Robert Sanchez in goal, but Roberto De Zerbi may want a new stopper for their potential European push next season.
