Liverpool’s Thiago Alcantara pulled up with a tight hamstring in the warm-up ahead of their dramatic Carabao Cup final glory over Chelsea.
The midfielder was in the starting line-up for the showdown at Wembley but suffered a setback in the warm-up, forcing him out of the match completely.
Thiago sustained an issue with his hamstring with the League Cup winners looking at the extent of the damage on Monday morning, according to Goal.

The Spaniard’s Reds career has been hindered by multiple injury issues and he was reduced to tears once he knew his Carabao Cup final was over.
An emotional Thiago was seen on the bench after being forced to play a spectator role moments before the start of the clash.
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said that the midfielder’s last-minute injury put the game back in the balance prior to the pulsating encounter.

Thiago was replaced by Naby Keita in the Liverpool starting XI with his replacement scoring his spot-kick in the thrilling penalty shootout.
Following a goalless stalemate after 120 minutes, it came down to 22 penalties. No Liverpool player missed from the spot with substitute Kepa Arrizabalaga skying the crucial spot-kick over for Chelsea.
The goalkeeper was brought on by Blues boss Thomas Tuchel late on in extra-time especially for the spot-kicks but he gave Liverpool an 11-10 penalty shootout victory by blazing his effort over the bar.
