Manchester United are eyeing Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus, with the 22-year-old backed to become Erik ten Hag’s own version of Dusan Tadic at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are set to bolster their attack when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season. And another raid on their Eredivisie counterparts can’t be ruled out, with Lisandro Martinez and Antony previously swapping Amsterdam for Manchester last year.

United have interest in Kudus as they look to land a new attacker at the end of the season, amid an expectancy Wout Weghorst won’t be kept on a permanent basis.

And GiveMeSport journalist Dean Jones thinks that, if the Ajax forward arrives at Old Trafford, he could become Ten Hag’s own version of Tadic due to his versatility.

“In the time that Ten Hag has gone, Kudus has continued his development and he’s moving forward as a player,” he said.

“I think, to be honest, it would probably be that versatility and everything Tadic was able to do – I can see why you would think that could be reflected in a player like Kudus.”

The report adds that United are eyeing Kudus at a time where the forward is playing in a false nine role at Ajax.

Man Utd takeover: Man Utd making plans for five players

That was often how Ten Hag used Tadic during his spell in Amsterdam, resulting in the Southampton flop becoming a key player in the Netherlands.

While United are being linked with Kudus, however, he’s not the only player on the Red Devils’ radar at the current moment in time.

United are keen on acquiring the services of Harry Kane, with the 29-year-old’s long-term future at Tottenham currently up in the air.

The England international’s existing deal in the capital is due to expire in 2024, meaning this summer represents Spurs’ last chance to get a big fee for their prized asset.

Tottenham have refused to sell a single player to United since Dimitar Berbatov in 2008.

But the Red Devils are hoping they can land Kane and reports have suggested they’re willing to use Dean Henderson in a potential swap deal.

Victor Osimhen of Napoli is also admired, too.

The Nigeria international has been in outstanding form this term, bagging 21 goals from 23 Serie A matches and clocking up four assists along the way.

As a result, Napoli are likely to demand a premium fee to let him go.

But United are in the mix to sign Osimhen, having previously missed out on the attacker back in the summer of 2020.

That year, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer probed a deal for the striker – who was strutting his stuff for Lille in Ligue 1 at the time.

But Osimhen turned down a move, with the presence of idol Odion Ighalo a factor in his decision.

Goncalo Ramos, of Benfica, has also been linked with a move to United as the summer transfer window creeps closer.

And there have even been suggestions the Red Devils may try and land Joao Felix should Chelsea fail to sign the Atletico Madrid hitman on a permanent basis.

Former United star Louis Saha, meanwhile, recently expressed a belief Kudus would be a good signing for his old side.

“Mohammad Kudus is the kind of player Manchester United need,” said the retired forward, who won two Premier League titles with the club.

“When you have the ability to break lines and be aggressive in the midfield – which can be utilised easily show that he is a very talented player.

“He hasn’t made many mistakes and when you have these targets it makes perfect sense.

“I would like to see players like Osimhen and Kudus arrive at Old Trafford, but it is also important to think about their mindset and values and I believe they align.”
