Tammy Abraham has a number of Premier League clubs monitoring his situation after the Chelsea striker was axed by Thomas Tuchel’s matchday squad against Manchester United.

The 23-year-old was left out by Blues boss Tuchel for the 0-0 draw with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side despite Chelsea’s top goalscorer having no injury problems before the game.

Abraham has started just three Premier League games under Tuchel this season and was hauled off either at or before half-time in all of them, albeit the times against Southampton and Newcastle were due to injury.

And according to The Telegraph, Abraham has several potential top-flight suitors waiting to snap him up if Chelsea opt to move him on this summer.

Abraham, who has two years remaining on his Stamford Bridge deal after this season, was publicly told by Tuchel to give more in his performances and training to win his starting spot back, even though it was ‘hard’ to leave the striker out.

Tuchel said after the United stalemate: ‘At the moment he is only struggling with my decision, because we have a strong squad. It’s the way it is. We have only Thiago Silva injured so we have to make hard decisions.

‘Tammy has to do exactly what he does, train well, be in a good mood and accept he is a striker for Chelsea so the competition is at the highest level in Europe.

‘When you are a player for Chelsea there are hard decisions. I am happy to take them because it means everybody is on board and this is what you sign up for.

‘These moments arrive and there is no answer other than to accept it and be there from tomorrow to fight for a place.’

Abraham has been rotated in and out of the Chelsea starting line-up for the whole of this season but is still the Blues’ top goalscorer with 12 successful strikes in 30 matches.

The 23-year-old is currently competing alongside £47.5million summer signing Timo Werner – who has failed to live up to his pre-signing expectations – and veteran forward Olivier Giroud.

French striker Giroud was chosen by Tuchel to start in the central striking role against United, in between Hakim Ziyech and Mason Mount in the front three.

Werner, Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz, meanwhile, had to settle for a place on the substitutes’ bench.
