Tottenham are among the clubs monitoring Watford teenager Adrian Blake.
Winger Blake, 17, has risen to the fringes of Watford’s first team after joining the club’s academy aged seven.
After impressing for their youth teams last season he made the bench for their penultimate home game of the season against Everton.
This term he has been handed his professional debut against MK Dons in August – becoming the seventh youngest player in Watford’s history – and first senior start in the FA Cup third round tie at Reading.
Upon his debut, the club’s then-head coach Rob Edwards – who was replaced by the recently-sacked Slaven Bilic in September 2022 – praised his young player’s ‘confidence’.

Edwards stated after the match that Blake ‘wanted the ball. He played with confidence. He tried to make things happen.’
This season the Islington-born player has also drawn the eye in Watford U18’s FA Youth Cup campaign, scoring once and providing two assists in the competition before the team bowed out to Arsenal in the fifth round proper.
The talented winger regularly features in both the Hornets’ U18 and U21 sides, and bases his game on former Chelsea and Real Madrid player Eden Hazard.
‘I’m a very technical, one versus one type of player,’ Blake added whilst describing his game to Watford’s in-house magazine.
While his progress at Watford has earned him first-team recognition it has also caught the attention of clubs in the Premier League including Spurs.
Blake is out of contract in the summer and Watford hoped to tie him down on a new deal but the top-flight interest now poses a threat to their plans.
