Spanish team concede zero goals in nine games as fans brand it ‘impossible’
When thinking about some of the best defences across Europe, your mind might drift to the likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid and AC Milan.
Top stars like Ruben Dias, David Alaba and Fikayo Tomori have proved crucial to their teams and their success.
However, even they would be jealous when looking at the prowess of Burgos CF in the Segunda Division – who have conceded zero goals in nine matches. It is a remarkable stat that makes them an anomaly across Europe.

However, while their defenders have been putting in extra shifts – they might have to have a word with their forwards, who have so far failed to make advantage of their prowess at the back.
While they have not conceded a goal yet in the second tier of Spanish football, the Castile outfit have scored just five – only one team have netted less than them in that division – Racing.

Remarkably, three of those five goals scored came all in the same match – a 3-0 crushing of league leaders Alaves on Saturday that saw Burgos shoot up to fifth. However, six of their games this season have ended 0-0.
Fans have been left stunned by the impervious wall that has been erected at the Estadio Municipal El Plantio with one saying: "I have to watch this team."
Another wrote: "Might buy a season ticket. Love my nil nils." A third posted: "That is almost impossible though clearly a surreal stat."
Burgos face Andorra next and it would be no surprise to see another 0-0 against a team that have scored 10 already this campaign.
The club finished 11th last season in Segunda Division having achieved promotion the campaign before and La Liga will surely be in their sights.
