Spain World Cup hero Olga Carmona learns of father’s death after scoring winner
Spain’s history-making hero Olga Carmona has tragically learned of her father’s passing after scoring the winning goal in the Women’s World Cup final. The 23-year-old Real Madrid starlet was integral to La Roja’s success but her life-changing triumph has sadly been soured by heartbreaking news.
The Spanish Football Federation have sadly confirmed the death of Carmona’s father via a statement posted online.
It read: The @RFEF deeply regrets to report the death of Olga Carmona’s father. The soccer player learned the sad news after the World Cup final.
“We send our most sincere hugs to Olga and her family in a moment of deep pain.
“We love you, Olga, you are the history of Spanish football.”
