Southampton are close to signing teenage Chelsea striker Armando Broja on loan.

Ralph Hasenhuttl is on the hunt for reinforcements in attack following the £30m sale of Danny Ings to Aston Villa and could bring in up to two strikers.

Southampton have signed defenders Dynel Simeu and Tino Livramento from Chelsea already this summer.

And the clubs could now strike a third deal in Broja, 19.

Broja, who has also been targeted by clubs in Italy, spent last season on loan at Dutch club Vitesse and got his first taste of regular senior football.

He scored 11 goals in 34 games. Chelsea secured his long-term future last month by tying Broja down on a new five-year deal and are now prepared to let him go out on loan again.
