- But Rusnak, formerly of Manchester City, would be open to a return to England
Former Manchester City academy graduate Albert Rusnak is attracting interest from Premier League duo Southampton and Newcastle.
The 27-year-old is currently plying his trade in the MLS with Real Salt Lake, but his contract expires at the end of the month.
The Slovakia international has a host of suitors from the MLS but his potential availability has also alerted Southampton and Newcastle, who are both looking to strengthen their squads.

Rusnak is a key part of Real Salt Lake’s squad and recognised as one of the MLS’ top performers, but he is open to a return to England.
Having risen through the ranks at City, Rusnak went on to spend loan spells at Oldham, Birmingham and Cambuur before leaving the Etihad for Dutch club Groningen in 2014. He left Holland for the MLS in 2017.
