Tottenham fans weren't happy with Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman after he kept getting the club's name wrong.

The North London club's name in full is Tottenham Hotspur, but Goodman rubbed Spurs fans the wrong way when he added an 's' to the end of their handle. The former striker was covering Spurs' Premier League clash against Everton on Tuesday when he repeated the gaffe throughout the proceedings.

And fans flocked to social media to vent their fury at the presenter. One fan raged: "Who’s the commentator on Sky calling us Tottenham Hotspurs? Doing my f***ing head in. He hates us." A second supporter fumed: "If he says 'Tottenham Hotspurs' one more time."

Then a third baffled user asked: "Why does the co-commentator keep calling us Tottenham Hotspurs??" A fourth person felt the same and moaned: "Who is this commentator that keeps saying Tottenham Hotspurs? Petty, I know but we all know it's Hotspur and it's really annoying me."

Before a fifth fan exclaimed: "Stop saying Tottenham Hotspurs!!!!!!!!!!!" It was a view held by most users as a slew of users shared their hurt feelings.

There wasn't much for Spurs fans to be happy about on the pitch either as they just about scraped a 1-1 draw with the Toffees. Tottenham took the lead after a moment of controversy that saw Harry Kane score a penalty after he was accused of diving following an incident with Abdoulaye Doucoure, who was sent off for shoving the striker in the face.

But Spurs were unable to hold on to the lead and Michael Keane grabbed a point for the home team with a stunning goal in the dying stages of normal time, just after Tottenham were also reduced to 10 men when Lucas Moura was given his marching orders. It was Tottenham's first match without Antonio Conte in charge after he was sacked for throwing the team under the bus, and verbally attacking club chairman Daniel Levy in a bizarre rant.
