Simon Jordan tells Gary Neville "get your house in order" in "hypocrisy" blast
Simon Jordan has called out Gary Neville for his "hypocrisy" and told him to "get his house in order".
The extraordinary Twitter rant came in light of the Sky Sports pundit's own tweet, who has advocated for reform in football over an independent regulator and more power to the fans in running clubs. The Manchester United legend was one of the leading voices on changes to the sport in light of the failed European Super League.
At the time, Neville insisted that the 'Big Six' owners – United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham – were "ruining football" and campaigned for an independent regulator to be introduced to apply a more rigorous owners' and directors' test. Not only would the changes affect those looking to buy clubs in the Premier League but also maintain those standards as an ongoing review.
But talkSPORT pundit and former Crystal Palace owner Jordan savaged Neville on Twitter for his own role as Salford City director, branding the ex-defender a hypocrite. To his tweet, Jordan wrote: "How about it doesn’t deal with the one thing that needs to be dealt with … re distribution of finances or that detail evade you ?
"If absurd notion of independent regulation occurs, let’s hope your club Salford observes FFP and SCMP, as I’m not sure it does!"
Neville replied: "The sports minister repeated what the report says that if football doesn’t do it then regulator will step in. The PL know the acceptable EFL deal. You’re aware through L2 SCMP rules we put our cash in up front at SCFC. Cash up front/Bank Guarantee should be in every league!"

Jordan hit back: "Report is laughable, 162 pages of absurd, misrepresentative poor thinking. Flawed inaccurate and any half sensible person drive a bus through 80% of it. With the other 20% having efficacy.
"Btw get your house in order with FFP, as huge losses at Salford is hypocrisy."
It has led to calls from fans for Neville to appear on talkSPORT so that the two can debate one another live on air. The 47-year-old has owned Salford City since 2014, along with fellow United legends Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville.
