Simon Jordan denies Jack Grealish snubbed his lunch offer in Ibiza

‘The last person I’d want lunch with is that Alice band-wearing nitwit!’ Simon Jordan DEBUNKS Gabby Agbonlahor’s story that Jack Grealish snubbed the former Crystal Palace owner’s lunch offer in Ibiza because ‘he didn’t know who he was’

Simon Jordan has strongly debunked Gabby Agbonlahor’s claim that he was once snubbed by Manchester City and England star Jack Grealish in Ibiza.

Agbonlahor had initially told listeners on the talkSPORT breakfast show that his former Aston Villa team-mate Grealish rejected Jordan’s offer for lunch on the Spanish island because he did not know who the former Crystal Palace owner was.

‘Apparently many years ago in Ibiza, Mr Simon Jordan wanted to meet our Jack Grealish for lunch,’ the ex-Villa striker said. ‘And he spoke to Jack’s security. And Jack said, “Who is Simon Jordan?”

‘He didn’t know who he was so it was a no… He wanted to enjoy his party on the beach in Ibiza.’

But an incensed Jordan fired back at his fellow talkSPORT pundit on Thursday, aiming digs at both Agbonlahor and City’s £100m man along the way.

Simon Jordan (R) has referred to Jack Grealish (L) as an ‘Alice band-wearing nitwit’ after denying Gabby Agbonlahor’s claim that the Man City star once snubbed his lunch offer in Ibiza

Agbonlahor (L) claimed on talkSPORT that his old Aston Villa team-mate turned Jordan down

Speaking on his talkSPORT show with co-host Jim White, Jordan responded: ‘The only problem with that story is the facts – and the fact that Gabby has anything to do with it.

‘First and foremost, I don’t like going for Happy Meals so I wouldn’t be going with Jack anywhere.

‘Second of all it would have hardly been a meeting of the minds. Third of all, I lived in Marbella not in Ibiza. Not if you dragged my tongue to a back of a ferry and drove me to Ibiza would I want to go there.

‘And the last person I’d want lunch with is that Alice band-wearing nitwit so there’s absolutely no truth in it!’

Jordan could not have denied the story any more vehemently, and he and White went on to jokingly question their rival show’s accuracy.

Jordan and White went on to aim digs at the talkSPORT breakfast show over their inaccuracy

‘Yet again, the breakfast show has shown its a bit short of the cutting edge of journalism,’ White said.

Jordan replied: ‘At the end of the day, we both know, let’s be honest about it, if it was someone of great substance and intellect and an ability to add things up then I’d say that’s worth listening to, but it’s Gabby.

‘And we all know Gabby goes two plus two equals yellow.’
