Chelsea defender Thiago Silva admits he doesn’t want to come up against PSG’s fearsome strike trio after commenting on former team-mate Neymar’s Instagram.

The PSG forward uploaded a celebratory dressing room photo after the Parisians’ 2-0 win against Manchester City of him alongside Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

Messi had just scored a sublime first goal for the club and after the impressive display, Brazilian defender Silva noted he hoped Chelsea weren’t drawn against them down the line.

Neymar posted an Instagram with Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi after PSG’s victory

And Thiago Silva commented saying he hopes he doesn’t meet the trio anytime soon

The Chelsea defender used to captain PSG and played alongside Neymar and Mbappe

Silva, 36, commented saying: ‘I hope I don’t meet you so soon Neymar. God forbid.’

The Blues centre back is a former PSG captain and led them to the final of the 2020 Champions League final, where they lost to Bayern Munich.

He left the French capital that summer to join Chelsea and after his coach at PSG Thomas Tuchel joined him at Stamford Bridge in January, the pair went on to win the Champions League last season.

They are currently preparing for tonight’s match at Juventus, having won their opening game of their European campaign this season against Zenit St Petersburg.

Messi had just scored a sublime first goal for the club in the 2-0 win against Manchester City

Messi said after Tuesday’s win that his partnership with Mbappe and Neymar will ‘get better and better with each game’.

‘It was a perfect night against a great opponent,’ Messi told Canal+. ‘For us, it was very important to win this game after Brugge [a 1-1 draw on matchday one].

‘I am very happy to have scored. I haven’t played much recently, I had only played one game here. I am adapting little by little. What is important is to keep winning.

‘Our relationship will get better and better with each game. We all have to grow together, increase our level of play. We have to continue.’

PSG are on four points following their first two matches, with the club looking to win Europe’s premier competition for the first time.

They will face RB Leipzig in back-to-back Champions League matches following the international break.
