Ryan Reynolds hires £100k jet to reunite with Blake Lively after Wrexham drama

It's safe to say Ryan Reynolds enjoyed quite the Easter bank holiday while at the Racecourse Ground.

The Hollywood star, alongside his Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenny, watched on from the directors box on Monday as the Red Dragons managed to secure a massive 3-2 win over National League rivals Notts County, putting them back in pole position for promotion this term.

While Wrexham have and Notts County will amass more than 100 points this term, only one side goes up automatically to the Football League from the National League, meaning Reynolds and co now have a three point lead on their Easter opponents with a game in hand.

And just hours after the dramatic 3-2 win, which saw goalkeeper Ben Foster save an injury time penalty to preserve all three points for Wrexham, Reynolds jetted off in a £100k private jet from Manchester to reunite with his wife Blake Lively in New York City.

According to the MailOnline, Reynolds flew out to New York where he and Lively live, being reunited with his actress wife just nine hours after Wrexham toasted their dramatic win.

The Wrexham owner charted the private jet from Manchester airport to Teterboro Airport, before being snapped outside on the streets of New York holding hands with Lively. Prior to the game against Notts County, Reynolds flew over from New York to London, then heading up to Chester airport via a helicopter before then being chauffeur driven to the Racecourse Ground.

And it seems as though the 46-year-old will be spending even more time in Wrexham in the near future after it was revealed the Canadian had bought a £1.5million house in a small village near the Welsh city.

Speaking after the game against Notts County, Reynolds also revealed the dramatic National League clash had left his heart in a bad place

"I don't feel like I have a heart anymore," Reynolds told BT Sport.

"I think I used all the beats that I had left during that match. That was unlike anything I've ever seen before and indicative of course of all of you lifers who have watched and participated in this game, this beautiful, tortuous game forever.

"I am actually grateful in this moment that I didn't care about this years ago because it would have just eaten me alive – that was really something.

"I'm very hooked, it's troubling how hooked I am."
