Redknapp says Alli can 'reignite his career' with a move to Besiktas
Jamie Redknapp says Dele Alli can ‘reignite his career’ with a move to Besiktas and thinks the Everton midfielder ‘fell out of love for the game’… but insists the former England star ‘can’t keep looking at everyone else’

Jamie Redknapp has urged Dele Alli to turn his career around ahead of his imminent move to Besiktas.
The Turkish club are eager to complete a deal by the end of the week and it is understood the Toffees will consider letting Alli leave in the final two weeks of the window — despite having joined the club only in January.
With the midfielder having such a fall from the heights he experienced early into his career, Redknapp has encouraged the midfielder to find his feet once again.

Jamie Redknapp says he thinks Alli ‘fell out of love for the game’ during his successful career
Speaking to talkSPORT, Redknapp said: ‘He’s been at Tottenham where he was a huge success as a young man. When he came onto the scene he was scoring so many great goals from midfield, he was linking up with Harry Kane, he looked like he was going to be England’s midfielder for many years.
‘And then, for whatever reason, it looked like he fell out of love for the game. Then he finds himself at Everton, hasn’t really worked out for him there, he’s not playing. Frank Lampard is obviously looking him and thinking ‘Well, he’s not doing the business for me’. He’s been on the bench, there’s other players that are giving more.’
Alli had huge success with Spurs having joined as £5million signing from MK Dons, before going to reach a Champions League final with the club.
Since then, things have gone downhill for the midfielder and eventually led to a move to Merseyside – where he has only played 11 games in all competitions since January.

The 26-year-old has struggled to find his feet since joining Everton on a permanent basis
Lampard continued: ‘What other options has he got? I can’t imagine too many other Premier League clubs knocking down the door and trying to get him. This is another chance for him to get his career going.
‘It’s up to Dele. He can’t keep looking at everyone else. It’s not the ideal move but it’s one where hopefully he can reignite his career and get going again.’
With Alex Iwobi, who’s traditionally a winger, being picked at central midfielder ahead of Alli in Everton’s opening two games – it doesn’t bode well for the 26-year-old’s opportunity of getting into the Everton first-team.

Whether Lampard’s claim that Alli fell out of love for the sport is true or not, the statistics certainly back up the claim.
In his debut season in the Premier League, as a 19-year-old no less, he recorded 10 goals and three assists. If that wasn’t impressive enough, he followed it up with an 18 goal tally in the league the following year.
However that season, 2016-17, was the final year he’d hit the 10 goal mark in the league – having only scored 14 goals in the past four seasons combined.
