Real Madrid assigned security for Ronaldo to stop ‘excessive’ partying

Ronaldo had to be assigned special detail for his ‘excessive’ partying by Real Madrid.

The former Los Blancos star opened up about his time in Spain's capital in a chat with Jorge Valdano on his show 'Universo Valdano'. The presenter started by opening up about how Real's president Florentino Perez actually provided him with his own security to prevent him from having his private parties. Ronaldo replied: "Some of the security employees entered the party."

"It was a wonderful time at Real Madrid and the city of Madrid is the best combination of club and city that you can find," he continued. "There is a legend about it all, more than what it really was. Sometimes I maybe partied too much, but it wasn't really like that. I've always been very responsible and I've always tried not to hurt my body. Yes, after winning matches I did like to celebrate… and since we always won that was a problem. But there is much more to the legend than the reality."

Ronaldo is enjoying his time back in the La Liga, this time as president of Real Valladolid.

And with the added responsibility of executive life, the Brazil legend has admitted his days of partying and excess are now well and truly behind him. He told Off The Ball in November: "My girlfriend now is very happy that I have also retired from the parties – and I miss it so much!"

It comes after Ronaldo proved to the world he still has got world skills, showing off his obscene talent with dribbling and a brilliant shot.

In the now-viral footage, Ronaldo is seen performing some stepovers before making a quick shimmy to the left. In the first instance, the attacker’s shot is thwarted by the goalkeeper but he then buries the ball.

The 45-year-old is considered one of the greatest players of all time, claiming the prestigious Ballon d'Or award two times. The striker netted a ridiculous 414 goals for club and country and unbelievably could have achieved even more if not for a series of serious injuries that hampered his glistening career.
