Punter wins over £19,000 after correctly predicting the result of 25 matches

A punter has won over £19,000 after correctly predicting the result of 25 matches last weekend.

One William Hill customer has landed a massive pay out after their accumulator ended on Sunday with each of their 25 selections winning over the course of the weekend. The punter had staked £5 on a bet made up of matches in England, Scotland, Spain, Greece, Portugal, India, Italy, Turkey and Belgium.

With their bet ultimately winning, the lucky punter was able to take home a total payout equalling £19,575.79 in return for their impressive betting victory. Reacting to the win, William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps explained: “It’s pretty rare that five or six-team accumulators come off, so when we saw a 25-leg one cop on Sunday, we had to take our hat off to the lucky punter.

“They managed to correctly predict the results of 25 matches across several leagues around the world and they must have felt pretty chuffed having turned £5 into over £19k!”

The punter's bet included Manchester City's dominant 3-0 home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers and Celtic's Scottish League Cup semi-final triumph against Kilmarnock.

Elsewhere, Barcelona's narrow victory vs Getafe was also part of the bet, as was Burnley's dramatic comeback win over West Bromwich Albion in the Championship on Friday night.

Matches in Saudi Arabia, Cyprus and South Africa were also included in the bet as well as games from each of the top three divisions in England. Odds varied from 1/40 favourites Celtic to 21/20 Burnley across the bet slip.

The punter's victory comes in the same week that one bookmaker paid out on Arsenal winning the Premier League to earn one lucky customer £14,000.
