PSG think Liverpool ‘would pay anything’ to seal sensational Kylian Mbappe transfer
Kylian Mbappe still consults family over every decision
PSG reportedly think Liverpool ‘would pay anything’ to sign Kylian Mbappe. The France international’s long-term future at the Parc des Princes is currently up in the air, with his contract poised to expire in 2022. The Ligue 1 giants want to keep him – but could cut him loose in order to secure the arrival of Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.
PSG have signalled their desire to tie Mbappe down to a new contract.
But that’s yet to happen, with the France international’s current deal at the Parc des Princes scheduled to expire next year.
Mbappe has been a huge success at PSG ever since his arrival from Monaco back in the summer transfer window of 2017, with the 23-year-old propelling his side to three straight Ligue 1 titles.
He also played a key role as they reached the Champions League final last season, where they were beaten by Bundesliga titans Bayern Munich.
With his future uncertain, however, Liverpool and Real Madrid have both been linked.
And Catalan newspaper Sport say PSG believe both clubs ‘would pay anything’ in order to secure the signature of the young striker.

Liverpool have been linked with Mbappe at a time where Mohamed Salah is being tipped to depart, with Barcelona and Real keen on Egypt international.
And Real have long dreamed of snapping him up, especially with Zinedine Zidane’s side not operating at the high levels of old.
PSG could cut Mbappe loose in order to ensure they’ve got enough money in the bank to sign Barcelona forward Messi, whose own future at the Nou Camp is also uncertain.
But whether that happens is something only time will tell.
Meanwhile, Liverpool hero Danny Murphy recently expressed a belief that Mbappe or Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho would be the ideal replacement for Salah should an Anfield exit take place.
“If you are going to lose someone like Salah or [Sadio] Mane, it’s about having a plan in place about what you are going to do to replace the numbers,” he said.
“Liverpool’s team is heavily reliant on the front three so you can’t take a risk. You have to bring in a superstar.
“I don’t think there are too many out there that you put above Salah in terms of numbers and ability to win matches and score goals. Maybe a Sancho or Mbappe?”
He then added: “Liverpool will be planning.
“They have done well in recruitment for some time now. He said they are two big clubs and you never know what will happen in the future.
“Initially I thought that doesn’t sound good. You think, how can you think about moving anywhere else?
“But you have to understand the mentality of a player who is from a different country with different desires and ambition.
“Why would he block it off and shut the door? Maybe he has dreamt of playing for one of those teams. There are a multitude of reasons why players want to change clubs and try different things.
“I wouldn’t criticise him for not ruling it out. If his performances were bad and he looked like a player who wanted away and had dropped off with his intensity, then I would say there is a problem.
“But his performance on the pitch doesn’t suggest he has got a problem.”
