Premier League clubs have stars more valuable to them than Jack Grealish is

Aston Villa are often criticised as being a one-man team due to the talent of Jack Grealish, but a recent study shows that there are ten teams who rely on their star players more.

A study from the CIES Football Observatory has looked at the value of each Premier League team's most expensive player and cross-referenced that against the rest of the squad.

The results show how much of a team's value is taken up by one star player, and prove that Villa have a significant amount of value elsewhere as well as Grealish.

The playmaker is apparently valued anywhere between £30million and £40m, despite Manchester United being told to fork out closer to £100m when they were interested in signing him last year.

That valuation means Grealish takes up just 15.3% of Villa's squad value.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, however, there are players who take up much more of their squad valuations.

Relegation strugglers Burnley's most valuable player is Dwight McNeil, with the winger rated anywhere between £40m and £50m.

Due to the lack of expensive talent elsewhere in the team, McNeil takes up 35.3% of Burnley's value.

Crystal Palace star Ebereche Eze only signed last year but is already worth between £20m and £30m, but that means he takes up 28.5% of Palace's squad worth.

Declan Rice takes up 22.4% of West Ham's squad value having been listed between £40m and £50m.
