Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly told his teammates he will be going at the end of the season and also left the squad’s WhatsApp group.
Interim manager Ralf Rangnick confirmed that Pogba is out for the rest of the season after picking up an injury early on in the 4-0 defeat at Liverpool last Tuesday.
The 29-year-old’s current contract expires in the summer and United’s £89million club-record signing looks certain to leave for a second time on a free transfer.

According to the Daily Mirror, Pogba has told team-mates he is on his way this summer, and is even said to have left the WhatsApp player group the squad uses to stay in touch.
He has also received two contract offers amid interest from Real Madrid and PSG.
It comes a few days after Pogba said that his career with Manchester United is ‘not over’ despite Rangnick’s comments.

Pogba went off with an injured calf inside the first 10 minutes of United’s 4-0 humbling at Anfield.
He was the subject of a smattering of jeers from the away supporters section following the booing he received at Old Trafford against Norwich.
As he made his way towards the tunnel after the full-time whistle, Pogba held his hand by his ear towards the direction of the Stretford End.
The Frenchman limped off and was jeered by the travelling support at Anfield
It all appeared to suggest that the Frenchman had played his last game for the club, with even his current manager appearing to believe that the case.
However, the midfielder tweeted during his side’s loss to Arsenal that his time in Manchester was ‘not over’.
He wrote: ‘Absolutely gutted to not be able to help the team in today’s game. I will work even harder to come back stronger and hopefully before the end of the season.

‘It’s not over,’ he added. ‘Thank you all for your support, United we would stand!’
Jesse Lingard, Nemanja Matic, Edinson Cavani and Juan Mata are also expected to leave the club on free transfers during the summer window.
The Old Trafford hierarchy will reportedly hand incoming manager Erik ten Hag a £100-£150million budget to acquire new players, but told the Dutch boss to prioritise ‘evolution rather than revolution’.
Therefore, Ten Hag will look to sign Darwin Nunez, Jurrien Timber and Pau Torres after off-loading the likes of Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Anthony Martial , Alex Telles and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Rangnick had said prior to United’s trip to Arsenal: ‘All of the others are still injured and Paul with the scan, it is very likely he will not play until the end of the season again.
‘The doctor told me it will take four weeks minimum for him to recover and the last game is at the end of May. I don’t think it’s very likely he will play again.’
The interim boss added: ‘It’s obvious there are quite a few players whose contracts are expiring, there might be a few others who are on loan might still want to be on loan or leave the club, it will be a significant change and rebuild necessary.’
According to ESPN , club chiefs have decided to distance themselves from Rangnick’s comments following the 4-0 loss to Liverpool.
Several players including Pogba and Jesse Lingard are expected to leave on free transfers
Speaking after the game, Rangnick insisted that Manchester United should sign 10 new players during the summer transfer window, saying: ‘It is embarrassing, it is disappointing, maybe even humiliating. We have to accept they (Liverpool) are six years ahead of us now.
‘There will be a rebuild here. Six, seven, maybe 10 new players will come. (Liverpool) have better players than we have and this was really reflected by the result today.
‘There will be a rebuild for sure, that was obvious in the first three or four weeks for me. For us it is extremely embarrassing as a coaching staff to sit here and have a press conference like this. We just have to admit they are better than us.’

United are open to signing new players during the summer window but they have made it clear to Ten Hag that they are looking to evolve the current squad rather than overhaul it.
That being said, Ten Hag will be given a huge budget to spend during the transfer window. He will also receive extra cash once United offload a host players.
Additionally, Ten Hag will have to make a decision about the United goalkeepers once he arrives at the club.
Dean Henderson has expressed his desire to leave while sources have revealed that the Dutch manager is worried about David de Gea’s suitability for his system.
Therefore, with a mass exodus expected this summer, United are putting together a list of potential candidates they are interested in speaking with.

They are eager to sign a striker and midfielder during the summer window. The Red Devils are thought to be interested in either Harry Kane or highly-rated Benfica striker Nunez.
However, Benfica are believed to be holding out for at least £110m for the striker – and the fee would represent a sizeable profit from the £20m they paid for him in 2020.
United are also said to be putting together a list of full-backs for the summer transfer window. Among those selected so far is Villarreal defender Torres.
The Red Devils have also approached Ajax about the availability of Timber ahead of Ten Hag’s arrival at the club.
Additionally, ESPN claim that Manchester United’s football director John Murtough has reached out to Andreas Pereira to tell him that Ten Hag would be interested in his services if a permanent move to Flamengo breaks down this summer.
