Piers Morgan has sent a message to Cristiano Ronaldo following the announcement Manchester United have agreed a deal to re-sign the 36-year-old.
On Friday afternoon, the Red Devils revealed they'd reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Ronaldo; the fee is rumoured to be around the £15 million-pound mark.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner left Old Trafford 12 years ago to join Real Madrid in a world-record transfer.
Ronaldo starred at the Santiago Bernabeu, breaking their all-time goalscoring record as well as winning four Champions League titles, three Club World Cups and two La Ligas.
After a three-year spell in Turin, the Portuguese legend is returning to Old Trafford where he will sign a two-year deal to work under former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
A global superstar, Ronaldo is regarded by many as the greatest to ever play the game.
Piers Morgan is someone who would agree with that statement. The former GMB host has made his opinion clear several times in the Messi vs Ronaldo debate, siding with the latter every time.
After the announcement Morgan tweeted his excitement about Ronaldo returning for a second stint in the Premier League:
"BREAKING: It’s official – the great Cristiano Ronaldo is rejoining Manchester United," tweeted Morgan.

"Brilliant to see the GOAT is back in the Premier League. Congrats & welcome back my friend Cristiano."
GOAT is an acronym for Greatest Of All Time, an accolade the 56-year-old TV star has lauded on Ronaldo.
And Morgan won't have to wait long to see the former Real Madrid man back in action; Ronaldo will be available for his second Man Utd debut at home to Newcastle after the international break.
