Piers Morgan has lashed out at Arsenal's "very unsuccessful and inexperienced" manager Mikel Arteta after captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after he was dropped due to a 'disciplinary breach'.
The Gabon international was dropped for the same reason according to Arteta back in March, who set up his team to take on Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday.
When asked why Aubameyang would not be involved, amid his run of poor form in front of goal, Arteta told Sky Sports: "Unfortunately due to a disciplinary breach.
"I think we have been very consistent that we have certain non-negotiables in the team that we have set ourselves as a club, and he's not involved today."
Arsenal superfan Morgan expressed his discontent on social media, venomously defending the forward.
Morgan wrote: I don’t like the way Arteta treats Auba – the guy’s one of the best strikers in the game & has scored a barrel-load of goals for us.
"When a player like that goes through a lean patch, a top manager tells the world how brilliant he is – he doesn’t drop him & belittle him."

Adding: "Second time Arteta’s publicly thrown Auba under the bus like this over internal ‘discipline’ issues. Just outrageous disloyalty to a guy who’s scored 68 goals for us in 128 games."
After former England forward Darren Bent said: "He's captain of the club, and supposed to be the leader, yet we keep hearing there's discipline problems."
Morgan hit back by saying: "We keep hearing our very unsuccessful & inexperienced manager trash our best player in public. Great managers don’t do that."
Arteta had said after a similar situation back in March: "We have drawn the line, we move on, and he is on the bench.
"We have a process for every game that we have to respect. It was a decision made after evaluating everything and who Auba is and what he's done.
"We have other players who can play. Recently we have changed the team quite a lot and there are players who are willing to play and deserve a chance, so I'm comfortable with that."
