Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola shouted at a fan to take his spot in the dugout during their 1-0 win against Newcastle.

Guardiola turned to the crowd in the 82nd minute of the Premier League clash on Saturday (August 19) evening and gestured at the City supporter in question.

It seemed they'd said something he didn't like. Quite who he was pointing at wasn't clear, but one fan could be seen laughing as the bizarre situation unfolded.

City fans watching on at home were equally in stitches. One tweeted: "Yo the fan better chill or he boutta catch these hands."

A second argued: "Telling the greatest manager of all time to 'figure it out' in front of him is mad." And a third commented: "Pep is f***ing hilarious man."

"Imagine telling your grandma how to cook," joked a fourth, while a fifth added: "Typical Pep. Always cooking on and off the pitch."

City claimed victory thanks to Julian Alvarez's first-half strike at the Etihad. He fired in to the top corner past Nick Pope after Phil Foden's cut back to the edge of the box.
