Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has joked that stars pictured on a night out will be ‘fined’ for not inviting him. Midfielder Jack Grealish was videoed alongside team-mates outside a bar in Manchester.

Grealish was filmed on a night out alongside Kyle Walker and Riyad Mahrez.

A clip posted on video platform TikTok shows the England sensation being held while he walks outside the establishment at night.

A person in the background can be heard saying: “Jack’s burst, he’s not allowed inside, look at him, Jack’s burst.”

Several individuals are surrounding Grealish in the clip, in which it is claimed he was denied entry. That has yet to be substantiated.

Man City have since insisted that Grealish was not drunk and that the trio later met friends for dinner.

Guardiola has repeated that line in his Tuesday press conference but joked that he will fine the players for not inviting him.

“So upset. They didn’t invite me. Next time they will invite me,” the City boss quipped to journalist.

“The video didn’t show what happened. Dinner together, sober. They were all perfect but they will be fined because they didn’t invite me.”

Grealish and fellow City midfielder Phil Foden were punished by Guardiola just two months ago after turning up to a recovery session not in the “right condition”.

City stars had been allowed to unwind following their 7-0 thrashing of Leeds but the duo were dropped for the next fixture – a 4-0 victory against Newcastle.

“I decided this team because they deserved to play — these guys and not the other ones,” Guardiola said at the time.

“At Christmas time I pay a lot of attention to behaviour on and off the pitch. And when (behaviour) off the pitch is not proper, they are not going to play.

“So we have to be focused all the time because of distractions at Christmas time and everything that happens — you still have to be focused.”
