Pep Guardiola baffles fans by wearing ‘cringey’ jacket during Man City clash

Pep Guardiola has left Manchester City fans baffled with his “cringey” jacket during the club’s Champions League clash.

The Premier League leaders are leading Borussia Monchengladbach 2-0 in their round-of-16 first leg clash.

The Spaniard is looking to guide the Cityzens to a first-ever European honour and his first since 2011.

While City have once again excited with their exiting brand of football, other fans have found themselves distracted by Guardiola’s clothing choice.

The 50-year-old went for a long jacket for the European game at the Puskas Arena, Hungary.

When the manager turned his back in the coat, though, the club’s crest was seen covering it across his shoulders.

And the whole squad were seen in the same jackets on arrival at the stadium, with some blue-chequered shirts to accompany it.

But the City faithful were less than impressed with the fashion choices from Guardiola and his players.

“What is that Man City badge on the back of Pep Guardiola’s jacket,” one viewer said.

“I’m crying – whose idea was that?”

Another commented: “How f***ing awful is Pep Guardiola’s jacket?”

While a third held nothing back, with: “Pep Guradiola’s coat is possible the cringiest and most awful thing I’ve ever seen.”

And a fourth added: “The giant Man City badge on Pep’s coat is an insult to fashion.”

A fifth wondered if the City boss was aware of his bold fashion choice, with: “Does Pep Guardiola know that there’s a MASSIVE City badge on the back of his coat?”
