Paul Gascoigne has selected three ‘luxury items’ for Italian I’m a Celebrity

Paul Gascoigne has revealed the three 'luxury items' he's taking with him on the Italian version of I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

Gazza has starred in Italy before for England at the 1990 World Cup and with Lazio during a spell in Serie A from 1992 to 1995.

But this will be an altogether different test for Gascoigne, who signed up to Isola de Famosi (Island of the Famous) last month.

The former Tottenham midfielder will begin his stint on the Italian show by being dropped out of a plane and into the sea.

Gazza will then link up with his fellow campmates on the Honduran island of Cayos Cochinos, which is 30km from the mainland.

Once on the island, Gazza should receive his three luxury items, which have been revealed as a blanket, a pillow and a cup.

Gascoigne's adventure will begin on Monday March 15, and if he goes all the way, he could remain on the show until May.

The overall winner of the competition will receive €100,000, and Gazza already knows what he would do with the money.

He told Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni: If I win, I will give the prize money to a non-profit association that my family founded in memory of my nephew."

England legend Gazza isn't the first footballer to take part in the show. Italian stars Francesco Coco, Stefano Tacconi and Salvatore Schillaci have all had stints on the programme in the past.
