Non-league club appoint UK’s youngest-ever manager, 28, who beats ex-Spurs boss
A non-league club have appointed the UK's youngest-ever manager at 28-years-old, beating former Tottenham boss Ryan Mason's previous record.
Dover Athletic have confirmed Mitch Brundle as a the club's new manager after he agreed an 18-month deal with the National League South side following a spell in temporary charge. He beats the previous record of youngest UK manager, held by former Spurs interim boss Ryan Mason, who oversaw the final seven matches of the 2020/21 season.
Brundle had only returned to Dover for a second spell as a player in the summer, having previously played for the club between 2017 and 2019.

Speaking to the club's website, he explained: “I am over the moon to be given this opportunity. I love this club and have always given everything both on and off the pitch. The football club means a lot to me and I am looking forward to putting my own stamp on things.”
Meanwhile, Dover chairman Jim Parmenter added: “Mitch has done really well since he took the reins. The team's performances in the last three games show that we will have a bright future under his leadership along with Mike Sandmann.”
Brundle took temporary charge following the dismissal of Andy Hessenthaler earlier this month and helped Dover to a 1-0 home win against Taunton Town last week along with narrow losses to bottom club Hungerford Town and second place Ebbsfleet United.
