Newcastle have been offered the chance to sign Manchester United flop Donny van de Beek on loan this month, according to reports, but a deal could still prove complicated to complete. The £34million Dutchman has endured a rough ride since arriving at Old Trafford from Ajax, failing to establish himself as a regular in the side.
Van de Beek had the chance to leave United at the beginning of the season when Everton came calling.
The Toffees were keen on a loan deal before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer put the brakes on a move.
He told the player that he would get chances to feature this season, a promise that has been unfulfilled.
This season, Van de Beek has started just four games in all competitions and he remains low down the pecking order.

For that reason, he would be open to a January switch but whether United will comply is another question.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Van de Beek has now been offered to Newcastle as well as Borussia Dortmund by his people.
It’s understood the player’s reps are keen for his time to get some regular playing time away from the club.
Van de Beek wants to be a starter for his country at the Qatar World Cup and as things stand, his place in the squad is in jeopardy.

However, any final decision could rest with interim boss Ralf Rangnick and whether he is prepared to weaken his squad.
The German appeared to be impressed by Van de Beek’s cameo from the bench in the 1-0 FA Cup win over Aston Villa.
“The game against Villa today confirmed, with a minimum three central midfielders, we had problems in times of the game to control the centre of the pitch,” Rangnick said.
“From the very moment when we changed to a diamond in the last 20 minutes, when Donny came on, from then on we controlled the game, we had our counter-attack situations.”
