New Burnley investor Macolm Jenkins is a two-time Super Bowl champion with a net worth higher then former Premier League stars Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres.
The 33-year-old now owns a minority share of the club after he became a stakeholder in ALK Capital, who purchased the club in December 2020.
According to Sportscasting, Jenkins is valued at $93million thanks to endorsements and an estimated $70million in career NFL earnings, having signed a $32million contract with the New Orleans Saints in March.
This is a higher net worth than former Chelsea strikers Drogba and Torres who are thought to be worth less than $90million.
Jenkins was drafted by the Saints in 2009 as the 14th pick of the first round and spent an initial five seasons with the franchise, winning the Super Bowl in his rookie season.
He moved to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2014 and won a second Super Bowl in 2017, before leaving after six seasons to return to New Orleans.
The New Jersey-born safety has also played in three Pro Bowls, the NFL's all-star game, in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
Discussing his investment in the club on Wednesday, Jenkins said: "I'm excited to enter this new relationship.
"Burnley is known for its tenacity, work ethic, good sportsmanship and efficient operational infrastructure.

"It is a great fit for me personally and my company to invest in the growth of the sport alongside a historic organisation that aligns with our values."
Jenkins visited Turf Moor at the weekend, having been given a tour by chairman Alan Pace as he made his first visit to the ground.
He was also in attendance at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday as the Clarets were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City.
“I think the club’s doing a great job with some of the updates around the stadium and to see the vision of where they want to go in creating a venue that’s not only a great place to come and watch a game is really exciting," added Jenkins.
