Former Manchester United hero Gary Neville turned on the Red Devils' “whingebag” stars for complaining to each other during their awful performance at Newcastle.
United put in their worst performance so far of Ralf Rangnick’s reign as interim manager, with the visitors struggling badly despite taking on a Magpies side who had won just one game all season.
Despite their rotten form, Eddie Howe’s men took the lead after just seven minutes when Sean Longstaff robbed Raphael Varane of the ball to set up Allan Saint-Maximin to score a stunning goal.
Rangnick made two changes at the break, bringing off Mason Greenwood and Fred for Jadon Sancho and Edinson Cavani.
But the duo were only able to help United to rescue a point, with Newcastle the side more deserving of three points.
Neville was left fuming by their performance in the first-half and tore into the Red Devils’ struggling stars during his half-time analysis.
“The balance of the team isn’t right. I was worried after Norwich. There’s no pressing. There’s no urgency. The basics of the game, every single battle they’ve lost,” he told Sky Sports.
“That’s been a really poor performance. That is a really poor performance. There’s not been one single thing that has gone right as a team.

“They’ve not done one single thing right and not one single player can go in at half-time that have done their jobs or done themselves justice. They’re a bunch of winge-bags. Winge-bags.
“Watching them on that pitch – I’m not going to go into the names, honestly, winging at each other, arms up in the air complaining about everything.
“Honestly, they’re absolutely shocking out there in that first half. To be honest with you, they got the last manager the sack and Ralf Rangnick isn’t going to get the sack.

“He’s only had two or three weeks with them but they’ll get a lot of managers sacked if they carry on like that because that was a really, really poor performance.
“Nothing to do with the manager by the way, it’s to do with the players out on the pitch – that is not good enough.”
