Neuhaus responds to Liverpool transfer links as Reds eye Wijnaldum successor
Florian Neuhaus has played down speculation linking him with Liverpool despite admitting he "can't say" what will happen in the summer.
The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder is reportedly being eyed as a potential replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum should the Dutchman depart Anfield at the end of the season.
Wijnaldum is out of contract at the end of June and appears no closer to agreeing an extension.
That would likely force Jurgen Klopp into the transfer market to find a suitable successor, with Neuhaus thought to be among those being considered.
But the 23-year-old says he is not even thinking about a potential move.
"I have a contract until 2024 and I have very big goals for this season," Neuhaus told Kicker . "That's what I'm concentrating on now. [Transfer talk] is really not a big issue for me now.
"I play at Borussia, I have a contract, and we as a club are still pursuing very big goals this season. I can't say what will happen in the summer at the moment.
"I'm also very relaxed about the future. Borussia is a club where I was able to develop excellently and where everything is there. I know what I have with Borussia."

It's been an extremely interesting start to the season for Jurgen Klopp's men.
They got their title defence off to a shaky start as they edged out a seven-goal thriller against Leeds, before going on to conceded seven in a hammering by Aston Villa.
Virgil van Dijk's season was ended by injury in the 2-2 draw at Everton, leaving the title favourites looking far less secure at the back – especially with Alisson's injury worries too.
But there's no slowing down in what is going to be a busy campaign – with Klopp ensuring his men continue at full pace as they bid for more title glory.

One bonus for Liverpool should they decide to make a move is that Neuhaus is believed to have a release clause in his contract set at £34.5million.
Given the restrictions placed on spending amid the coronavirus crisis, Klopp will not have a wealth of funds at his disposal.
But that figure is not an unreasonable amount for a player who is quickly making his mark in Europe.
Neuhaus has scored six goals in 33 appearances for Monchengladbach this season, as well as four assists, while also breaking into the German national team.

Liverpool are still keen to tie Wijnaldum down to a new deal however, but have so far refused to meet his demands for a greater salary or a longer-term contract.
Barcelona have been linked with the 30-year-old's signature, and Wijnaldum put pressure on Liverpool when asked about his future last month.
“There is no update yet,” he told Sky Sports . "I also think I’m not the one who should give the update.
"The club should do that. So if there is an update, the club will give it."
