Music-mad Grealish learning to DJ – and practicing Spanish ‘in Brummie accent’

Footballers are pretty used to hitting the deck, but Manchester City star Jack Grealish is now trying to spin them by learning to DJ.

England international Grealish, 27, is well-known for his love of partying, having been snapped having a good time in Ibiza and Las Vegas during the summer. So it should perhaps come as no surprise that the former Aston Villa man is turning his attention to the decks – as well as trying to learn Spanish.

Grealish made the surprise revelation during a chat with former Love Island star Josh Denzel on BT Sport. He also admitted that he would be a club promotor in Spain if he didn't achieve his dream of becoming a professional footballer.

The winger told BT Sport: "Mate, do you know what? You know me. Actually, I like every type of music. I'm actually trying to start, I'm trying to learn to DJ at the moment."

Leading Denzel to cut in with: Jack Grealish the DJ, yeah?" Grealish fired back with a possible DJ name, adding: "Yeah, DJ Greal-O. Nah, I don't know what name [it] is."

Denzel then asked: "How good are you at DJing? Because I tried and I gave up." To which Grealish replied: "I am awful, I am awful but everything takes time, doesn't it? I'm trying to learn Spanish as well. Spanish in a brummy accent, yeah.

"But I just want like, do you know what it is? I want to try and learn some stuff outside of football and have like a hobby and stuff. I watch a few stuff on TV but when I thought about it, I don't actually do a lot of stuff outside of football.

"So I want to learn to do some stuff. People say DJing, and once you get the hang of it – obviously it takes a lot of time – but it's something that you can really enjoy."

DJ Greal-O, coming to a provincial nightclub near you (maybe).
