‘Mums are never usually wrong – so maybe we’ll see Mbappe sign for Liverpool’
Djibril Cisse believes Liverpool fans will see Kylian Mbappe play for the club because "mums are never usually wrong".
Mbappe has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield in recent seasons and even revealed last year that the Reds are his mum's favourite team. As a result, Cisse is confident that his compatriot will one day pull on the club's famous shirt, with his long-term future at Paris Saint-Germain still less than certain.
Djibril Cisse exclusively told Ladbrokes Fanzone: "I really, really want to see Kylian Mbappe at Liverpool – I would love to see him at Anfield. In this team, he'd cause so much damage.

"I know that his mother loves Liverpool, but the boy loves Real Madrid – so who knows where he will end up. But I want to dream about seeing him at Liverpool… and they say mothers are never usually wrong, so maybe we'll see him in a Liverpool shirt soon!"
Mbappe had looked set to leave PSG last summer, with Real Madrid strongly linked with a move alongside Liverpool before he performed a U-turn and signed a new three-year deal in May.
Who should Liverpool sign in the summer? Let us know in the comments section below.
The 24-year-old hinted at the potential of a move that same month, telling The Telegraph: "I talked to Liverpool because it's the favourite club of my mum.
"My mum loves Liverpool. I don't know why, you will have to ask her! It's a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It's a big club."
He has gone on to score 27 goals in 28 appearances for PSG across all competitions this season and won the golden boot at the World Cup in Qatar as France reached the final.
As well as Mbappe, Cisse is also keen to see Jude Bellingham join Jurgen Klopp's side, adding: " I think Jude Bellingham is a top class player, already at such a young age. Liverpool have to go for him as their top, top priority.
"They need to grab this guy now, because he really is something special. He wants to come to the Premier League, and Liverpool is such an attractive club for him. He's really close with Hendo [Jordan Henderson], which might just help."
